What our clients say about us

Our skilled team is here and ready to help whenever you need assistance

I purchased one of the HiLetgo ESP-WROOM-32 ESP32 ESP-32S Development Boards for a project that required Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with its performance. The board arrived quickly, was well-packaged, and visually, it gives the impression of solid build quality. The solder joints were clean, the components were neatly arranged, and everything looked professional. I especially appreciated the clear and accessible schematics that came with it—this made setting up GPIO pins, UART, and power supply connections much more intuitive. For developers who value transparency and good documentation, this is a big plus. Initially, I ran into an issue when I tried powering the board with an external 3.3V power supply. While the red 5V LED lit up as expected, the onboard blue IO2 LED kept blinking and the code wouldn’t run. I double-checked my wiring and voltage levels, but nothing seemed to help. Oddly enough, when I powered the board via the USB connection, it worked perfectly—code uploaded smoothly, and the board behaved exactly as expected. This led me to believe the issue might be with how the board handles external power, and I even considered trying a different brand. I reached out to HiLetgo’s support team, and while I waited for a response, I continued troubleshooting on my own. Eventually, I discovered that the issue was due to a cold solder joint on my own custom board, not the HiLetgo module itself. Once I corrected that, the board ran flawlessly from both USB and external 3.3V power sources. To their credit, HiLetgo did reply to my support request, which shows they care about their customers and stand behind their products. Given this experience, I’m updating my rating to 5 stars. The board is reliable, well-designed, and cost-effective—an excellent choice for hobbyists and professionals alike working on IoT, home automation, or embedded systems projects. I’ll definitely be purchasing more boards from HiLetgo. Highly recommended!

I recently used the HiLetgo ESP8266 module in a personal project to control LED lighting, and I was thoroughly impressed with how smoothly it performed. The setup process was straightforward, and the module integrated seamlessly with my existing components. I used it to create a web-based control panel for the LEDs, and it handled every command quickly and reliably. Whether I was toggling the lights on and off or adjusting the brightness, the response was nearly instantaneous. The ESP8266 made it easy to bring the project to life without the usual headaches of network configuration or connectivity issues. One of the standout advantages of the ESP8266 is its extremely affordable price point. It offers incredible value for money, especially considering it comes with built-in Wi-Fi and full support for the Arduino IDE. This makes it ideal not just for seasoned developers, but also for beginners and students who want to experiment with IoT and automation without spending a fortune. It’s rare to find a module this feature-rich at such a low cost. For budget-conscious makers, it’s a must-have. I was also impressed by the compact size of the module, which makes it easy to embed in virtually any project. Whether you’re working on a small enclosure or building a wearable device, the ESP8266’s slim footprint ensures it won’t get in the way. Despite its small form factor, it packs a serious punch in terms of processing power and memory, handling multiple tasks and maintaining stable Wi-Fi connections with ease. It’s the perfect balance of size, price, and performance. In short, the HiLetgo ESP8266 exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s fast, reliable, and incredibly versatile, making it a go-to solution for anyone working on wireless control, smart home, or automation projects. I’ll definitely continue using this module for future builds and recommend it to anyone looking to add Wi-Fi functionality to their electronics.

Let me start by saying — this display works, it works exactly as expected, and I’m genuinely pleased with its performance. The screen is crisp and vibrant, and once properly connected, it functions smoothly for a variety of applications. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly touchscreen with solid output, this one delivers. That said, there are a few technical quirks to be aware of before diving in. With a bit of prep and understanding of its requirements, you’ll be rewarded with a fully functional and responsive display. One major gotcha is the logic level: this module is strictly 3.3V, and it does not play nicely with 5V logic. If you’re using an Arduino UNO or other 5V boards, you’ll likely run into issues—mine simply refused to function until I switched to a board that supported 3.3V logic. Thankfully, I didn’t damage the display during my initial attempts, but it’s definitely a trap to watch out for. Once I switched to an Arduino MKR, things started to fall into place. I wired the reset to VCC on the MKR, connected VCC on the display to the 5V pin, and used the Adafruit ILI9341 library. To get the backlight working, I connected the “LED” pin to pin 6 on the MKR and added digitalWrite(6, HIGH); at the start of my setup() function. After that, the display test ran flawlessly, and I had the visual output I expected. When I moved on to test the touchscreen functionality, I used the XPT2046 library—as far as I know, it’s the only real option out there. One important note: MISO and MOSI are not pre-connected on this display like some tutorials suggest, so for accurate bench testing, you’ll need to wire those manually. I used pin 5 for CS and pin 4 for IRQ, and the sensitivity felt right in line for a resistive touch interface. While I personally find Adafruit’s version a bit easier to work with out of the box, this module offers excellent value for the price. It takes a little more effort and attention to wiring, but if you’re comfortable working with 3.3V logic and don’t mind tweaking a few connections, it’s a solid, cost-effective alternative. For experienced users or anyone willing to do a bit of setup work, this display is absolutely worth considering

Charles M. Ihler

These buck converters are fantastic, especially considering the features they offer at such a low price point. One thing I do wish is that they came with a basic plastic housing or enclosure—something simple to protect the board—but I understand that most users don’t typically use a shield or case anyway. The module is well-designed, compact, and very easy to use right out of the box. The built-in display is a big bonus, as it allows you to monitor voltage without needing a separate multimeter. You can easily switch the display between input and output voltage, which makes setting the correct output much faster and more convenient. That said, it’s important to understand the limitations of this board. It performs very well as long as your output load stays under about 2 amps peak. It’s perfect for lower-current applications like LED strips, small electronics, or a couple of 12V–24V PC fans. However, this is not a module you should rely on for powering high-amperage devices, as it’s simply not built for that level of demand. If your project requires higher current, you’re better off investing in a dedicated power supply unit like a Mean Well PSU, which is designed specifically for high-load scenarios. What really makes this module stand out is the integrated digital display, which most other buck converters at this price point don’t offer. Even better, the display can be calibrated manually. If you have a multimeter—and you should if you’re working with power modules—you can compare and correct any discrepancy in voltage. For example, mine was only off by 0.1V, which is already very accurate, but it was easy to adjust the display to match the true voltage precisely. I recommend doing this small calibration when you first get the board for the most accurate readings, but even without adjustment, it’s accurate enough for most typical applications. In summary, this is a great-value buck converter for low- to moderate-power electronics. It’s user-friendly, accurate, and packed with useful features that you don’t normally find in modules at this price range. Just be mindful of the current limits, and you’ll get a lot of reliable use out of it. I’ll definitely be buying more of these for future projects.
